To set up your PayPal integration, we need:

  1. The primary email address associated with the PayPal account, as well any other email addresses associated with the account.

  2. Two settings reviewed and possibly updated in your PayPal account to ensure a smooth user experience and integration with PayPal. See below.


PayPal settings to review/update:


IPN (Instant Payment Notification)

  1. Go to Settings (top right) > Account Settings > Notifications

  2. Click “Update” next to Instant payment notifications

  3. Click “Choose IPN Settings”

  4. Notification URL:

    1. If a URL is already entered and it is a functional url, you can leave it as is.

    2. If no URL is entered, use:
      https://[YOUR SUBDOMAIN].hiraiser.com/admin/paypal_ipn.php

  5. Enable IPN messages by selecting “Receive IPN messages (Enabled)”
  6. Click “Save”


Auto Return

  1. Go to Settings (top right) > Account Settings > Website payments

  2. Click “Update” next to Website preferences

  3. Select “on” below Auto return

  4. Return URL

    1. If a URL is already entered and it is a functional url, you can leave it as is.

    2. If no URL is entered, use:
      https://[YOUR SUBDOMAIN].hiraiser.com/paypal-response.php

  5. Click “Save” (on the right)
