How do I access donation details?

To access individual donations to view or edit the details, click Donations in the main navigation (or in the campaign settings area) to open the Donations List.

How do I edit a donation?


  • Find the donation in the Donations list, using the Search tool or by browsing the list.

  • Click to select and view/edit the donation.
  • Choose the fields and settings you want to edit. It is best not to edit fields you are not sure about.
  • Editing does not affect payment processing. Do not edit amounts for donations that are already paid.
  • Click Save.


How do I delete a donation?

Sometimes it is necessary to cancel/delete a donation – a test donation, a duplicate, or other error.
In order to maintain easily accessible records, we don't actually delete donations. We mark them as cancelled so that they become hidden but can be easily found for review if needed.

  • Find the donation in the Donations list, and click to select and edit it.
  • In the Donation Status section of the donation edit page, choose cancelled.

  • Click Save.
Notes about Cancelled donation records:
  • Cancelling a donation removes the donation from your HiRaiser campaign/website, and a record will be retained as a cancelled donation.
  • Cancelled donations do not appear in any public lists.
  • Cancelled donations amounts are not included in any calculations for amount raised.
  • They are only visible in the HiRaiser admin if you choose to view cancelled donations. 
  • They appear in Reports that include cancelled donations.

Cancelling a donation in HiRaiser does not cancel or refund the actual payment, which must be done separately through the payment gateway or payment method used.


How do I hide a donation?

Sometimes it is necessary to hide a donation from displaying publicly, but still keep it as part of the campaign and the amount raised total.

  • Find the donation in the Donations list, and click to select and edit it.
  • In the Donation Privacy and Visibility section, toggle on the Hide Donation option:

  • Click Save.
Note: This will exclude the donation from appearing in the Donor List and Donor Wall / Journal.
(The donation will still be added to the campaign total, unless the “Exclude from Totals” option is also selected.)

Another option is to turn on a setting on the Donor Wall settings tab called:
Level/Amount should be sum of all the donor's donations
This will use the combined amounts of all of a donor’s donations to create one tile. (Donations within the campaign(s) and date range selected will be used.)
However, if the donor used a different email address or name, the system will not connect the donations, so a careful manual review is still required when using this setting.
